Posted June 14th, 2009
Summer office hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00-1:00
It's summer time and we often forget about all the wonderful things going on at our school, so here are a few updates on what's happening at WCS!
* A few construction projects have made our beautiful facility even nicer, thanks to the hard work and contributions of Ron Wood, Joey Evans, Joe Evans, Ricky Rawles, Brian Polston, Keith Ware, Monkey Grantham, Bobo Eiland, and Mary Kendall Ware. If you happen to see any of these patrons, please give them a big "THANK YOU!"
*Keith Nail, WCS' new head softball coach and Carla Garrett will be holding a Fast Pitch clinic on June 22nd-24th. This will start at 8:00 am to 10:00 am for students in grades 2nd through 6th and from 10:00 to 12:00 pm for grades 7th through 12th. The cost is $25.00.
*The WCS football stars ahve already begun summer workouts, hitting the weights Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 6:00 pm. It isn't too late for boys to join in.
*Drivers Ed begn May 28th. Mrs. Beckwith is teaching and she has 28 students.
*The WCS Star cheerleaders participated in Cheer Camp May 30th-June 2nd at Gulf Shores, Alabama. Both squads received all Blue-Superior ribbons and a spirit stick every day. Both squads also received superior trophies for overall performance. Mary Kendall Ware, 8th grade, was chosen as an All-American UCA cheerleader and is elligible to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City in November.
